Costs
IBM Quantum pay-as-you-go: $1.60 per QPU-second ($96 per minute), billed per second, postpaid. The IBM Open plan gives 600 s of QPU time per 28 days for free; the bench runs on it until the paid ladder opens.
Measured rung costs
Each rung's cost is the median quantum_seconds of its last 3 completed jobs on that backend. A rung that never ran shows "priced after its first run".
| rung | ibm_torino | ibm_fez |
|---|---|---|
| 4-BIT | 3.8 s = $6.08 | 4.1 s = $6.56 |
| 5-BIT | 5.2 s = $8.32 | 5.6 s = $8.96 |
| 6-BIT | priced after its first run | priced after its first run |
| 7-BIT | priced after its first run | priced after its first run |
| 8-BIT | priced after its first run | priced after its first run |
(sample mode: these costs come from the sample run sheet until live runs measure them.)
How burn quotes are priced
cost in seconds (measured, or the first-run estimate × 1.5) × $1.60 = USD; burn amount = USD ÷ the live $QCRACK price from the pump.fun curve or PumpSwap pool, rounded up.
